A short story about Luna

Luna, our small black cat, went missing near Stratton Drive in Holladay on June 18, 2025.

We are worried someone may have taken her in, not realizing she has a loving home.

Luna went outside... and never came home.

It is highly unusual for her not to return home. She is deeply loved and misses home.

Luna is an indoor/outdoor cat who never wanders far and always returns after her brief outdoor adventures.

đź’– A Message from Luna's Heart (and Her Mommy's)

Luna has lived all of her wonderful six years on Stratton Drive, and in all that time, her whole world has revolved around a half-mile radius of home—and her Mommy. Their bond was instant; a true "love at first sight" moment where Luna absolutely chose her person. She is a small, still very kitten-like in appearance, with stunning, big, round eyes that truly look like the reflection of the moon.

She is a fixture of the house, a small shadow whose greatest thrill is to explore to the highest point she can find—whether it’s the top of the fridge, a high closet shelf, or just hanging out with mom in the kitchen from the counter. She looks forward to every delivery because it means a fresh, new cardboard castle to explore.

Luna is incredibly talkative. She and her Mommy have endless "conversations," with Luna telling lengthy, chatty stories about her latest adventures (or perhaps just convincing the chef to prepare her next gourmet meal ).

Mostly, Luna is an indoor princess, but she has always enjoyed her short, self-guided "adventures" outside. She knows her immediate streets well, and she and her Mommy even have a ritual: a stroll where Luna would proudly follow alongside, no leash or harness needed, like a tiny, furry walking companion. Because she has always come right back home and never ventured far, we believe she may be lost or confused if she has traveled more than a few blocks from her familiar territory. She likely needs help finding her way back.

The quiet in our home since June 18th is devastating. She is more than a pet; she is my best friend, my shadow, and the one whose demanding meow is the soundtrack to my life. We are desperate to bring our bright, curious, and deeply loved Luna back to her familiar comforts and the person she chose. Please help us end this search.
